Approximately 1/3 of the penis is anchored inside of the body by a set of ligaments called the fundiform and suspensory ligaments. In this procedure, these ligaments which connect the penis to the pubic bone are released, while allows some of the penile length to be pulled out from inside the body. Additionally, Dr. Knight places a silicone spacer between the penis and pubic bone to prevent reattachment of the penis and pubic bone due to scar tissue formation. Penile lengthening surgery results in immediate gains in size, which can be augmented to continued training post operatively.
Girth Enlargement
There have been many advancements over the past few years with penile thickening surgery, allowing the patient to safely achieve tremendous increases in size while keeping a completely natural look and feel to the penis. One of the main improvements is the use of Permacol tissue matrix grafts. These grafts are made of porcine dermis, with the cells removed, which provided a "scaffolding" for your body to build it's own tissue and vascularize. This process creates tissue that mimics the surrounding erectile tissues and produces a result that is permanent. Glanular Enlargement
This procedure, which is usually performed in conjunction with girth enlargement, uses the same type of grafts. Permacol grafts are placed under the base of the head of the penis, called the coronal ridge. There are many blood vessels and nerves in the penis head, which present some limitations to what can safely be achieved, but gains of 10-15% in the girth of the coronal ridge can be expected from this procedure.
